BOB LOONEY (LEFT TACKLE) This was Bob's first and last year to battle for Old Grove. Because of inexperience he had to fight for his place, but he had the determination, which won out. JOHNIE GORMAN (LEFT GUARD) "Hobo" himself couldn't move Johnie if he made up his mind he was going to hold. He could always, be depended on to get the man who tried coming over him. JOE HOWARD (CENTER) Joe has got everything except weight. When he gets that old football spirit in his bones, you should see him slice through a line. STONEWALL LAX (RIGHT GUARD) Stonewall was as good as his name. He held the line like a stone wall. Although a one-year man, he played like a veteran. JOHNIE KENNON (RIGHT TACKLE) Johnie made good his first year. He always played hard ; and when he tackled a man, he hit him all over. JOE HOROBETZ (RIGHT TACKLE) Joe was a sure, hard tackier. If he got his hands on a man, he went down. Without him the team would not have been complete. JOHN H. SEYMOUR (RIGHT END) John Henry could take a pass in almost any po- sition ; and when he did, he could "tote" it for a little ride. He will be back next year. ALLAN WHIPPLE (RIGHT END) Allan came out with the determination his Freshman year to make the team, and he' did after two years of work. He is light, but hard to han- dle. |
