WOODROW TIMMONS (LEFT HALF)
Woodie carried the heavy work of punting, and
did it well. He could plow through a line—and
how ?—in a style new to farmers.
JOE SENSING (LEFT HALF)
The ones who saw Joe play the great game he
did against Humboldt realize the handicap it made
to the team when his knee was injured so that he
couldn't play any more.

JAMES MANSFIELD (RIGHT HALF)
Little Mansfield was the life of the team. He
was a hard hitter, game fighter, and ball "toter."
He will be back next year to help Grove defeat
the best teams in West Tennessee.
PHILLIP WYATT (RIGHT HALF)
"Footy" fought hard in carrying the old pig-
skin. He had speed and nerve, and was one of
the most enduring fighters that ever wore a blue-
and-white uniform.

ARTHUR DUNLAP (QUARTER)
Arthur is considered the best quarterback that
ever generaled the "Chill Tonic," and this takes
up every phase of the game. He leaves a position
after three years of real football that will be hard
to fill.
RICHARD DUNLAP (QUARTER)
Because he could handle that old pigskin so
thoroughly with hand or toe and was not afraid
to hit big men hard with a small physique, Rich-
ard made his letter, and has two more to make.

GORDON SMITH (FULLBACK, CAPTAIN)
Gordon "Grandpap" Smith played four years at
Old Grove. He played guard, end, and fullback,
and he always gave his best. His last year he
was Captain, and those who played with him will
always remember him as a leader whom they were
proud to follow.
CHARLES PARKHILL (LEFT END)
Charles did better than Roy Reigles, of Califor-
nia. He carried the ball down to his own goal
line, saw his mistake, and brought it back.
Freshmen will learn, and he has three more years.
