Mattie Elizabeth Presson Winchester

Retired Holley carburetor plant employee Mattie Elizabeth Winchester, 72, of Paris died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Henry County Medical Center.

She was married on Aug. 29, 1953, to Billy Winchester, who survives.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Tom Winchester and Cliff Winchester will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is planned 4-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Born in Henry County on May 21, 1935, she was a daughter of the late A.D. and Nonie Mae Bunn Presson.

Winchester was a Grove High School graduate and a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she leaves one son: Darrel (Tammy) Winchester, who is serving in the U.S. Army in Fort Bragg, N.C.; and three brothers: Oda Ray Presson of Phoenix, Ariz., Aron B. Presson of Westland, Mich., and Ezetira Presson of Trenton, Mich.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Alvin W. Presson.
