| The funeral service for longtime Paris
businesswoman and painter Lorraine Hancock Weston of Paris will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at
Ridgeway Funeral Home. Joseph A. Geary will officiate. Cremation is scheduled after the service. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Weston, 91, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Paris Healthcare Center. Born Oct. 2, 1916, in Paris, she was the daughter of Hervey Hooper Hancock and Annie Matt Rowe Hancock, now both deceased. She was married on Dec. 26, 1942, to Owen C. Weston, who died Jan. 23, 1995. She owned and operated Tayloe-Hancock Paint & Glass for 65 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church. A family member said her hobbies included writing an extensive family genealogy and collecting antique dolls. She loved painting with watercolors. She leaves two daughters: Lorri (James) Hudson and Terri Weston, both of Paris; one son: Owen H. Weston of Knoxville; one brother: Henry (Peggy) Hancock of Memphis; and three grandchildren: Annie Kate (Phillip) Massey and Maggie and Mary Joe Hudson, all of Paris.
