| A graveside service was sched- uled at 2 p.m. today at Poplar Grove Cemetery at Springville for Henry County native James 0. Wall of Louisville, Ky. Jerry Massey was to officiate. Visitation was Monday at Highlands Funeral Home in Louisville. McEvoy Funeral Home han- dled local arrangements. Wall, 88, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Baptist Hospital East In Louisville. Born Feb. 10, 1918, in Spring- ville, he was a son of Marvin E. and Clara Brigham Wall, now both deceased. |
His wife Mary Eleanor Hod- gin Wall preceded him in death. Wall was a 1936 graduate of Grove High School. He left Paris in 1939 to work with the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. He retired as supervisor for the Louisville Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. A World War II Army Air Corp veteran, he was stationed on Guam, where he served the 315th Bomb Wing, flying a B- 29. |
He leaves a brother: Virgil (Jo) Wall of Paris; two grandchildren: Julie Hargadon (Bob) Mudd and Donald Edward (Tract) Harga- don Jr.; a stepgrandchild: Beth Cress (Dan) Rose; and Five great-grandchildren: Claire, Kelson and Pierce Mudd, Donald Hargadon III and Nathaniel Rose. He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Marjorie Cress. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. |
