| The funeral service for retired Paris Board
of Public Utilities secretary Norma Jean Tayloe of Paris is planned at 10:30 a.m. Thursday
at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Johnny Adkins will officiate. Burial will be in Van Dyke Grove Cemetery. Selected as pallbearers are Charles Perry, Wyatt Glover, Jimmy Tubbs, Larry Baucum, Jerry Lynn Burnette, Bill Culley, Crockett Mathis and Bill Caldwell. Other members of the BPU board will be honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Ms. Tayloe, 68, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at her residence. Born May 21, 1937, in Paris, she was a daughter of William Ewing Johnson and Ethel Burnette Johnson, both deceased. She worked for 30 years at BPU as secretary to the general manager and to the board of directors. She was a member of Beta Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She leaves one brother: Jimmie Johnson of Paris; one sister: Betty (Robert) Patrick of Tifton, Ga.; two nieces: Cindy (Scott) AuBuchon and Angie (Darron) Britt; two nephews: Mark (Rosie) Johnson and Randy (Ingrid) Patrick; Four great-nephews: Alex and Taylor AuBuchon and Patrick and Garrison Britt; and two great-nieces: Cara and Kristin Johnson. She also was preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Alice Carol "Cookie" Johnson. |
