| The funeral service for former
Bon-Ton Cleaners owner and retired Board of Public Utilities worker Carl
Willis “Chip” Robinson of Paris will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway
Funeral Home. John Dale and Victor Eskew will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Matt and Adam Risinger and Jonathan and David Robinson. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Robinson, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Morningside of Paris. Born in Paris on April 10, 1921, he was a son of the late Clyde and Kate Weaks Robinson. His wife, Treva Eldridge Robinson, died Nov. 12, 2005. They were married on Aug. 10, 1941. Robinson was a former elder and deacon at East Wood Church of Christ. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Corps. A family member said he enjoyed woodworking and restoring antique furniture. He leaves one daughter: Janice (Harry) Risinger of Millington; one son: Tommy (Tami) Robinson of Russellville, Ark.; one sister: Edith Bomar of Paris; Four grandchildren: Matt (Julie) Risinger, Adam (Jessica) Risinger, Jonathan Robinson and David Robinson; and four great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Aniston, Noah and Eli Risinger. He also was preceded in death by three sisters: Mildred Drummond, Juanita Mann and Sarah Cherry; and a brother: J.C. Robinson. |
