Ron Lloyd Riherd, 62, died May 23 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

He was born in Jonesboro, Ark, on Feb 13, 1946. Mr Riherd spent his working years as a loan administrator. At retirement, he fulfilled a dream of owning property and cabins in the North Georgia mountains. There, he spent his days going on excursions with his mother and relaxing wth his dog Lu-Lu.

Mr Riherd spent his last six years with his wife Jana traveling to Europe, the Caribbean, and splitting his time between Savannah and Blue Ridge. He was an amazing father, husband and friend. He will be remembered by many for his wonderful smile, laugh and Godly spirit. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all especially his wife and daughter.

Survivors include his wife Jana Riherd of Blue Ridge; father James Riherd of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law Chelsey and Bobby Smith of Jasper; stepchildren Brooke Wanex of Savannah and Andrew Wanex of Roswell, GA; grandchild Elijah Riherd Smith; brother Ed Riherd; and sister Donna Miller.

Wages and Sons Funeral Home of Stone Mountain, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
