| Joe Ridgway Jr. Joseph Wiggins Ridgway Jr., 63, of Henry died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was married on Dec. 17, 1966, to the former Judy Greer, who survives. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Roger Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. Selected as pallbearers are Dale Greer, Andy Earls, Dan Quillen, Randy and Scott Lewis and Kenny Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles V. Butler, Bill Moody, Jerry Bell, Bobby Joe Owen, Charles "Toggy" Rushing and Tommy Rushing. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday. Born Nov. 10, 1942, in Paris, he was the son of the late Joseph Wiggins Ridgway Sr., and Myrtle Marie Clendenin Ridgway. He was a member of Henry Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired U.S. rural mail carrier. After retirement he worked for five years at Wal-Mart. A family member said he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also leaves one son: Joey Ridgway of Henry; three daughters: Jennifer (Andy) Earls of Martin, Jill (Dan) Quillen of Columbia and Jessica Ridgway of Murray; One sister: Gail (Wallace) Workman of Mount Juliet; seven grandchildren: Ashleigh and Brittany Ary, Tyler Earls, Joseph and Logan Quillen and Jada and Jerica Porter; his mother-in-law: Estelle Greer (Glenn) Scott of Henry; and several nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by a sister: Jan Alsbrooks; and his father-in-law: Odell Greer. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society, 446 Metroplex Dr., Suite A-200, Nashville 37211-3139. |
