| Martha Linn Reed, 72, of Paris
died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at her residence following a battle with cancer. She was married on Aug. 24, 1958, to Harold Thomas Reed, who survives. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Trent Bullock and the Rev. Larry Simmons, both of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Eric and Ean Reed, Jim Bracey, Daniel Munsey, Steve Hart and Danny Robbins. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Born May 31, 1937, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Orin Vernon “Pappy” Linn, who died March 5, 2002, and Elizabeth Brockwell Linn, who died Oct. 29, 2000. Reed was a 1956 Grove High School graduate. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Lydia Dorcus Sunday school class. She was a homemaker. She also leaves three daughters: Kerri (Michael) McClure and Kristi (Daniel) Munsey, both of Paris, and Kimberley (Jim) Bracey of White House; one sister: Janice Anderson of Nashville; one grandchild: Laura Beth (Andy) Rice of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a brother: Vernon Linn. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Paris. |
