| Longtime Paris resident and school
teacher Henry Thomas Redmon,79, of Dickson died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at
Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Tommy Wimberley, Jeff Fowlkes, Mark Snyder, Mike Reynolds, Jeff Marshall, Rusty Turner and Steve Summers. Honorary pallbearers will be all former Key Club members; members of the First United Methodist Church Ambassador Sunday school class; and Mark Mann and Barry Glisson. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Born in Paris on Feb. 24, 1930, he was the son of David Randall Redmon and Lillian Enoch Redmon, now both deceased. Redmon taught school for 25 years at Grove and Henry County high schools and was a Key Club adviser for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and its Ambassador Sunday school class and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He leaves two daughters: Joan (Bob) Rial of Dickson and Kay (Vince) Emerson of Lexington; a sister: Jean Saunders of Chattanooga; an aunt: Sue Neese of Paris; and five grandchildren: Kelsey Emerson, Hannah Emerson and Paul Redmon Emerson and Rebecca and Daniel Thomas Rial. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Paris, Dickson or Lexington, or the Ricky Scarbrough Memorial Scholarship Fund at Henry County High School. |
