| The funeral service for former Big
Sandy resident and retired Midland Brake maintenance supervisor Joseph
Elmore Price of Camden will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Poplar Grove United
Methodist Church at Springville. Gary S. Collier will officiate. Burial, with military rites, will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Chosen as pallbearers are Larry French, Jim and Jerry Price, Brett and Curt Barrett and Mike Arguello. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home and after noon Thursday at the church. Price, 66, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at his residence. Born in Henry County on July 17, 1943, he was a son of Vera Romero Price of Paris and the late Elmore Earl Price. He was married on Dec. 22, 1962, to the former Elizabeth Ann Anderson, who died Jan. 17, 2007. Price was a 1962 graduate of Grove High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Flint Knappers Association. He leaves a daughter, JoAnne (John) Murrell of Memphis; a son, Elmore “Lee” (Ronni) Price Sr. of Big Sandy; a sister, Nancy (Jerry) Bane of Paris; two brothers, Jim (Charlotte) Price and Jerry (Terisacq) Price, both of Big Sandy; a sister-in-law, Sue (Jim) Woolridge of Buchanan; five grandchildren: Bryce Hardy, Sean Laughlin, Kristen Moore, Levi Price and Nathan Condeelis; a great-grandchild, Caiden Ross Hepner; and special friend Mildred Larimer of Camden and her daughter, Autumn Larimer. |
