| Barbara Anne Marr, 72, of Paris died
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Simmons of First Baptist Church, where she was a member, will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Norman Jordan, Rex Hartsfield, Ricky Simpson, Richard Paschall and Eddie Martin. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday. Born March 18, 1936, in Paris, she was a daughter of Hulie Verdell and Lula Belle Ellis Hastings, now both deceased. Marr retired from Emerson Electric in Paris. She was a 1954 (*) graduate of Grove High School. She leaves two sons: Randall A. Marr and Jeff (Hope) Marr, both of Paris; one sister: Betty Nixon of Paris; and two grandchildren: Kimberley Brooke Marr of Paris and Tyler Stanley of Bowling Green, Ky. She also was preceded in death by two sisters; Nodgel Hartsfield in December 2008 and Carol Shankle in March 1970. |
