The funeral service for Claire Taylor Lonardo of Paris
was scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Rob Martin was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, northwest of Paris. Chosen as pallbearers are Glenn Lee, Pat Woods, Ray Hubbard, Johnny Taylor, Tommy Wimberley and Jim Bundy. Visitation was after 10 a.m. today. Lonardo, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Applingwood Healthcare in Cordova. Born in Paris on Oct. 14, 1919, she was a daughter of Robert L. and Carmen Anderson Taylor, now both deceased. She was married on Oct. 4, 1944, to Thomas Lonardo, who died Dec. 10, 2001. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. A family member said she was an avid bridge player. She leaves a son: Tom (Suzanne) Lonardo of Memphis; one brother: Robert T. (Pat) Taylor of Paris; two grandchildren: Griffin and Taylor Lonardo; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy Lee. |
