'Libby' Morris The funeral service for Puryear resident Elizabeth "Libby" Swinney Morris was planned at noon today at McEvoy Funeral Home. Gary S. Collier was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Puryear City Cemetery. Visitation was today. Mrs. Morris, 71, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Henry County Healthcare Center. Born April 11, 1934, in Paris, she was the daughter of Edward B. and Kathleen Caldwell Swinney, now both deceased. She was married on Dec. 11, 1958, to James W. "Jimmy" Morris, who died June 4, 2005. Mrs. Morris retired after 50 years with Commercial Bank. She was a Grove High School graduate and a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. She leaves two sons: Matt Swinney Morris of Puryear and Patrick Herbert (Mary Beth) Morris of Memphis; and three grandchildren: Abby, Haley and Brendan Morris. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. |
