| A service was conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Colbert Memorial Chapel of the
Shoals in Alabama for Paris native and retired nurse Annie S. Kennamer of
Sheffield, Ala. Michael South officiated. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Kennamer, 87, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. Her brother, Sam Seawright, lives in Paris. Born Dec. 14, 1921, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late John and Willie Seawright. She was the widow of H.D. “Pistol Ball” Kennamer. They were married on June 20, 1947. Prior to marriage, she worked as a nurse at Helen Keller Hospital. She then helped in her husband’s coal business, before resuming her nursing career. She leaves a son: Jimmie Hugh (Sandra) Kennamer of Mobile, Ala.; a son-in-law: Rick Moultrie of Tuscumbia, Ala.; a special granddaughter: Molly Ann Moultrie of Sheffield; two other grandchildren: Alicia (Ramsey) Clevenger and Amber Kennamer and fiance Dane Kinman, both of Mobile; three nieces: Peggy Chapman, Sandra Gamlin and Donna Sharp; a nephew: Mike Seawright; and a special friend: John Michael Vacca. She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Debbie Kennamer Moultrie; and a sister: Christine Hopkins. |
