| The funeral service for former
factory seamstress Ruby Christine Kautz of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Friday
at McEvoy Funeral Home. Joe Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Church Cemetery. Chosen as pallbearers are Paul Wall, Lloyd Allen, Carl McDaniel, Bobby Reaves and Johnny Henderson. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday. Kautz, 93, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Henry County Medical Center. Born Nov. 14, 1916, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas Beard and Ellen Neal Allison Beard. She was married on Nov. 7, 1953, to Glenn Richard Kautz, who died Feb. 6, 1973. Kautz worked at Salant & Salant as a seamstress for 36 years and for several years at the Paris Thrift Store. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and played the piano. She was president of United Methodist Women and active at a local senior citizens center. She leaves special friends and caretakers: Rita and Warren Lamb of Paris. She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Bernice Scott and Nova Beard; and three brothers: William Beard in infancy and Leslie and Bryant Beard. |
