| Thomas M. Horner Paris native Thomas M. Horner, 86, of Temple, Texas, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at a hospital in Temple. His wife Shirley Jean Propes Horner survives. They were married on March 22, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas. His funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery Chapel in Houston. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas is in charge. Born Sept. 21, 1920, he was a son of the late Mark and Mary Gross Horner. Horner was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He lived in Houston for 47 years, working for International Shoe Co. and SAS Shoes. He was a Little League baseball coach. He had lived in Temple since 2002, where he was a member of Foundation United Methodist Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons: Thomas Mark Horner Jr. and Timothy Bryan Horner, both of Houston; one daughter: Cynthia OHern of Belton; and four grandchildren.
