| The funeral service for J. R.
Hayes Construction Co. co-owner and vice president Lynn Hayes of Henry will
be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Corey Meggs and Dale Joyner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Donnie Williams, Tommy Ellis, Charlie Robertson, Ray Norwood, Randy Barner and Dave Sutherland. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of J.R. Hayes Construction Co. Visitation is planned from 4-8 p.m. today and after noon Thursday. Hayes, 64, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his residence. His wife, Susan Pegram Hayes, survives. They were married in 1984. Born Oct. 27, 1945, in Humboldt, he was a son of the late J. R. and Mildred McGraw Hayes. His first wife, Darryl Lax Hayes, died in September 1982. They were married in August 1965. Hayes was a member of New Life Baptist Church, the National Rifle Association and, according to his wife, was an avid hunter. He also leaves one son: David (Jennifer) Hayes of Paris; two daughters: Tiffany (Jimm) Guarino of Paris and Jennifer (Mark) Reynolds of Henry; one sister: Leisa Hayes Wimberley of Henry; three brothers: Jack (Betty) Hays of Paris and Jim (Roselyn) Hayes and Jerry (Debbie) Hayes, both of Henry; Eight grandchildren: Lindsey Adams, Christian Hayes, Evie Leigh Hayes and Allie, Jacey and Grace Guarino, all of Paris, and Tyler (Lauren) Allen and Sara Allen, both of Henry; one great-grandchild: Alaina Allen of Henry; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the New Life Baptist Church building fund, 7362 Henry-Mansfield Road, Henry 38231. |
