Obituary

Earl Wayne Harris was the second child and son of Voyze Gabriel and Audrey Owens Harris. He was born June 29, 1949. Earl enlisted in the U.S.Marine Corps, on July 12, 1967, following graduation from Grove High School. He arrived in Vietnam in December 1967, serving with Echo Company, 2nd Bn. 26th Marines. Earl suffered fatal injuries to the head during a mortar attack on Hill 861-A on February 26, 1968, and died two days later in a hospital. His parents were notified April 1, 1968. He was buried April 8, 1968.
