Nancy C. Greer, 63, of Paris died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Jackson-Madison
County General Hospital. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Roger Banks will officiate. Burial will follow in Birds Creek Cemetery at Whitlock. Chosen as pallbearers are Jim and Jason Freeman, Mike Baker, Scott Herman, Rick Williams, Bob and Bobby Fogarty and Jimmy Green. Honorary pallbearers will be the Van Dyke Church of Christ family. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Born March 19, 1946, in Paris, she was a daughter of Roy Porter Williams and Frances Cowan Williams, both deceased. She was married in January 1987 to Socrates “Pot” Greer, who died April 16, 1996. She was a member of Van Dyke Church of Christ and an active volunteer for Helping Hand and Relay for Life. She leaves one son: Josh Moon of Paris; two stepsons: Bill (Quida) Greer of Franklin and Joe Greer of Benton, Ky.; one stepdaughter: Rhonda Greer of Sevierville; Four sisters: Betty (Jerry) Casteel, Helen (Roy) Freeman and Joanne (Gene) Baker, all of Paris, and Pat (Ray) Luckinbill of Burns; one sister-in-law: Alicia Williams of Bellevue; a brother-in-law: Willie (Maxine) Greer of Paris; Three step-grandchildren: Amanda (Dan) Bureau, Zack (Heather) Crattie and Mitch Crattie; and one great-step-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Wimberley Pounds; and two brothers: Fred Nolan Williams and John R. Williams. |
