| The funeral service for former
carburetor plant worker and Office on Aging advisory board member Rebecca Jo
Goins of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Fred Shackelford and Tom Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Adam, Travis and Joe Hill, Phillip Steele, Lou Carter and Joe Lankford. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday. Goins, 70, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Henry County Medical Center. Born May 21, 1940, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Carlyle and Mary Elizabeth Radford Hill. She was married on Sept. 12, 1969, to Glenn Roy Goins, who died Aug. 21, 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a homemaker, former Holley carburetor plant employee and had served on the Henry County Office on Aging advisory board. She was a member of the Eastern Star, where she had been a former worthy matron and was active with Henry County Democratic Women. She leaves several cousins and other relatives; and a special friend of 58 years, Mary Oliver of Paris. |
