| Katherine Medlock Davis, 61, of Paris died
Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at her residence. A graveside service is planned at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jones Chapel Cemetery. Dwight Mercer will officiate. Named as pallbearers are Gerald Howard, Wesley Warren, Doug Paschall, John Paschall, Robert Whitfield and Phillip Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Lemuel Muzzall, Frank McDavid, Sam Holcomb and Bob Medlock. No visitation is scheduled. Born Jan. 31, 1946 in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Barney and Ruth DeVoe Medlock. She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church, and edited the churchs newsletter for 11 years. A registered dental assistant with the state of Tennessee, she last worked in the office of Dr. Robert Whitfield. She formerly worked in the rangers office at Paris Landing State Park. She is survived by two daughters: Melanie (Chad) Howard of Paris and Melissa (Jeff) Gallimore of Puryear; three brothers: Wayne (Patsy) Medlock of Paris, Alan Medlock and Richard (Linda) Medlock of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and one sister: Linda (Jim) Lee of Paris. She also leaves two grandchildren: Benjamin and John Tyler Gallimore of Puryear; one stepgrandchild: Jenny Howard of Cottage Grove; and a special friend: Kathryn Rogers of San Antonio, Texas.
