| Paris native Margaret Collins, 74,
of Memphis passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Baptist Hospital East after
a long illness. She retired from Schering-Plough Corp., and was a faithful member of Leawood Baptist Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Buddy Collins, and her oldest son, David Collins. Her memory will be cherished by her sister, Doris Hoagland (Larry) of Louisville, Ky., daughter, Debra Britt (Danny) of Jackson and son, Dewaine Collins (Michelle) of Memphis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Biggs (Brinson) of Memphis, Justin Collins (Rachel) of Alabaster, Ala., Lori Marler (Jay) of Chelsea, Ala., Danna Jones (Ryan) of Jackson and Chelsea, Brad and Kaleigh Collins, all of Memphis; Two stepgrandchildren, Justin Jones and Linzie Ganey, both of Memphis; two great-grandchildren, Lexie Collins and Hannah Marler; and four nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Leawood Baptist Church at the corner of Macon Road and Homer. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Leawood Baptist Church or Ronald McDonald House of Memphis. |
