Mary Anna "Frankie" Cannon ~ Obituary

Henry County native, Mary Anna “Frankie” Kirkland Cannon, 76, of State College, Pa., died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Susqueview Nursing Home in Lock Haven, Pa.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Koch Funeral Home in State College. David Lapinski will officiate. Burial will follow in Graysville (Pa.) Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Born May 11, 1933, in Buchanan, she was a daughter of the late Leander “Jake” Kirkland and Frances Summers Kirkland.

She was married in June 1975 to Arthur G. Cannon, who died Sept. 7, 1992.

Cannon held several jobs in her life, but enjoyed assisting her husband in his pediatric practice. She was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football fan, according to a family member.

She leaves a daughter: Patricia “Trish” (Bart) Hill of Sugar Land, Texas; two sisters: Martha Oliver of Murray and Regenia (Richard) Walker of Bellefonte, Pa.; two grandchildren: Jessie Guercio and Jake Hill; and several other relatives including some cousins, who live in Paris.
