| Louise Beville Dees Butler,
born Aug. 5, 1919, in Paris, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 28,
2008, according to information given by a daughter, Joni (Charley) Gonzalez of Port
Orange, Fla. Dees was voted The Most Beautiful Girl, at Grove High School and remained a beautiful woman her entire life. She married Joseph Samuel Butler on Aug. 13, 1937. In 2007 they celebrated their 70th anniversary. They had their first child in Tennessee, then moved to Louisville, Ky., where they had five more children. In 1975 they moved to Daytona Beach and managed the Pleasant Green Motel on the beach. In 2007, they returned to the Kentucky-Indiana area to be close to their family. Dees enjoyed golfing, swimming, walking on the beach and entertaining. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dees leaves behind her loving husband Joe; daughter, Lane (Jack) McKay of Louisville; son, Dick (Judith) Butler of Denver; son: Sam (Rita) Butler of Marysville, Ind.; daughter, Linda (Jack) Leech of Lancaster, Ky.; and son, Rob (Lisa) Butler of Buckner, Ky. Dees was blessed with 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and the first great-great-grandson born this year. Dees was active in the church, with her friends, and in the community. But her biggest joy came from beng with her family whom she loved very much. She was fun to be with and made life fun for everyone. She will be missed. The service will be held July 13 at South East Christian Church, 920 Blakenbaker Pkwy., Louisville, Ky., in the Fireside Chapel. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 p.m. The service begins at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Hospital Fund for Kosair Childrens Hospital, Louisville, Ky. 1-502-629-8060. |
