BOWDEN OBITUARY |
| Harvey Thomas Bowden, 92, of Paris died
Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at Paris Manor Nursing Center. His wife of 70 years R.E. Howard Bowden survives. His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Max Rogers of Manley Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a member, will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Sam, William and Tim Parker, Larry Gregson, M.F. Cannon and Grant Norwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey and Jesse Parker and Van Bowden. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Born Sept. 26, 1913, in Henry County, he was a son of the late Wayne and Claudie Morris Bowden. Bowden was a graduate of Grove High School. (Class of 1933) He was a lifelong farmer in the Manleyville community. He also leaves a nephew: Billy (Anna Fay) Bowden of Paris; a niece: Patsy Bowden of Detroit; and a foster son: J.D. (Polly) Parker of Paris. He also was preceded in death by two brothers: J.H. and Wayne Bowden. |
