| Joan Banniza Former Paris resident Joan Corbett Banniza, 76, of California died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at a hospital in Newport Beach, Calif., after an lengthy illness. Locally, she leaves a sister: Anne C. (Bill) Williams of Paris. No funeral arrangements have been announced. Born Dec. 21, 1930, in Bowling Green, Ky., she was a daughter of the late I.M. and Louise Burris Corbett. She was the widow of James Lawrence Banniza. She moved to Paris with her parents during her infant years. A 1947 Grove High School graduate, she attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and graduated from Draughons Business College in Nashville. She had lived most of her adult life in California, where she moved with her husband. She also leaves one daughter: Marta Louise Banniza of Garden Grove, Calif.; one son: Brandon Craig Banniza of Cerritos, Calif.; a grandchild: Jona Kelly of Garden Grove; and a cousin: Doris Clagget of Bowling Green. She also was preceded in death by two sons: Brett Darren Banniza and Darrell Corbett Banniza. |
