E.W. Grove Henry County High School agriculture professor Charles Pardue held an organizational meeting of a new Future Farmers of Tennessee chapter. The first president would be Edwin Diggs and other officers were John Upchurch, Emmett Pritchett, Joe Sensing, Johnny Jennings, Claude Kesterson and Bob Looney. (Organization date would have been about February 1928.)
