| Retired teachers install new officers New officers were installed during the June 7 meeting of the Paris-Henry County Retired Teachers Association, They include (seated, from, left) Claudine Thompson Barton, second vice president; Ann Caldwell, first vice president; (standing) Tellus "Mackie" Gallimore, yearbook editor; Grace McCaian Woffiderly, secretary; Bettye Stubblefield Akers, president; and Shirley Casey, treasurer. During his devotional, Carlton Gerrell of Tennessee Valley Community Church remembered six members who have died during the past year: J.W. Adams, Marion Cook, AM Perkins Gudauskas, Erah Kemp, Annie Warren Mills and Willie F. Barrett. Scholarship recipient Sarah Allbritten and her mother Linda were guests at the meeting. This was the last meeting of the 2005-06 year. The next meeting will be Sept. 6. |
